Most small business websites are fine on launch day and drift afterwards. Plugins age, speed slips, and the small maintenance jobs stop happening. We build them to last, then we keep them that way. Web development is remote, so we work with clients anywhere.

What usually goes wrong.
Almost every site we are called about has the same three things going on. It is slow on a phone, it has not been updated in a while, and nobody is currently looking after it. None of those are hard to fix on their own. They get harder when the website and the infrastructure underneath it sit in separate hands.

Real speed work. Correctly sized images, fonts served from your own server, render-blocking resources dealt with, and the judgement to know when a bad score is the test rather than the site.

Hosting, migration and DNS
Moving a site without breaking it. Redirects mapped before the move, DNS cut over cleanly, mail flow left intact. The unglamorous part where migrations usually go wrong.

A slow site is sometimes not a website problem at all. If it is only slow in your office, the thing to look at is the network.

Before quoting anything. Often the answer is that your current site needs three fixes, not a rebuild.

Things people ask first.
Do you work in WordPress or something else?
Usually WordPress, because it is what most businesses can maintain and hire for. If a simpler static site suits you better we will say so. We are not attached to a platform.
Can you fix our existing site instead of rebuilding it?
Often, yes, and it is usually the cheaper answer. Plenty of sites that feel broken need speed work, an update pass and some structural fixes rather than a rebuild. We will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.
What does a website cost?
It depends on how many pages and how much is custom, so anyone quoting before looking is guessing. What we will commit to is a fixed number before work starts, not an hourly estimate that drifts.
Will my search rankings survive a redesign?
They will if the migration is done properly. Rankings get lost when URLs change without redirects, or when content is thinned out in the name of a cleaner design. Both are avoidable and both are planned for before anything moves.
Do we have to be in Atlanta?
Not for website work. That is done remotely and we have no reason to care where you are.
Support and network work is different. That covers Atlanta and metro Georgia, because some of it needs somebody in the room.
What happens after launch?
Either you take it from there, or we keep it updated and monitored on a care plan. Either is fine. We will not hand over a site and disappear.
